These prefabricated transoms are manufactured with integrated end connections which are fixed to both the standards and ledgers. As these connections are typically stronger than those of tube and putlog (single) couplers, it is possible in many cases to erect a scaffold with prefabricated structural transom units which do not require ledger bracing. Full guidance on their use can be found in the current edition of the NASC Technical Guidance Note TG20.
– Multiple lifts free from ledger bracing.
– Available in three board, four board and five board scaffold widths.
– Aids scaffold erection by setting the width.
– No loose fittings.
– Fast to erect – only 4 bolts to be tightened per unit.
– Flush finish, no protruding tubes from the face of the scaffold. Safer, while being simpler to sheet and debris net.
– Load Class 4 (3kN/m²) configuration possible.
3 Board – 6.4kg
4 Board – 7.2kg
5 Board – 8.0kg
Available in four different width configurations, this component is adjustable, giving maximum on-site flexibility. They are designed for use as an intermediate board bearing transom, which has an extendable section for inside board support. The units are available with or without the welded wedge connection device.
– Available in 5+3, 5+2, 4+3 and 4+2 board width configurations.
– The wedge connection device aids scaffold erection by setting the width.
– No loose fittings, when using the wedge connection type.
– Wedge device gives secure and quick connection to ledger tubes.
– Extending section is fully lockable using a standard scaffold spanner.
– Flush finish, no protruding tubes from the face of the scaffold. Safer, while being simpler to sheet and debris net.
– Load Class 4 (3kN/m²) configuration is available for the main deck. Varying load capacities are available for the inside boards, depending on the extension distance.
4+2 Board – 8.1kg
4+3 Board – 9.0kg
5+2 Board – 9.0kg
5+3 Board – 9.9kg
Used as an alternative method of supporting inside boards at the standards. These units are available in two and three board widths.
2 Board – 4.0kg
3 Board – 7.5kg
This product is manufactured from a re-cyclable high strength-to-density ratio polyethylene (HDPE), giving maximum strength with minimum weight. They are manufactured in moulded sections, 110cm (43″) long, tapering from 50cm (20″) diameter to 40cm (16″) diameter. Hung from a galvanised steel bracket, connected using integrated chains, with a special top hopper entry chute, sections form a continuous chute for debris – avoiding risk of injury. Additional entry points can be made using a special side entry section.
Larger diameters may be available.
Rubbish Chute – 8.0kg
Top Hopper – 10.0kg
Side Entry – 10.0kg
Chute Fixing Frame – 12.0kg
Used at the base of a scaffold tower in place of base plates, castors enable you to create a mobile structure. Fitted with a securing bolt and hand-tightening wheel-lock, these castors come complete with a rubber tyre.
Safe working load: 535kg
As there is no vertical adjustment, this product should only be used on level surfaces.
Steel with Rubber Tyre – 6.5kg
Conforming to BS 1692, the Gin Wheel has a diameter of 254mm and is fitted with low friction sealed bearings, assisting in the efficient hoisting of materials on site. This product comes complete with a swivel round eye, which allows a standard diameter scaffold tube to pass through, giving a simple connection point to the scaffold. Advice on the fitting of Gin Wheels can be found in the current edition of the NASC’s Guidance Note TG20.
Product Testing: A certificate of conformity is issued with each Gin Wheel.
Safe working load: 250kg (this does not take into account the capacity of the supporting structure.
5.0kg
In order to provide leading edge protection before, during and after loading of materials onto a loading bay, a loading bay gate must be used.
Available for both traditional and system scaffold in various different sizes.
Coloured in a high-visibility yellow, the self-closing, spring-loaded steel gate is used to allow safe access to and from the working platform, where a ladder access is provided.
Used to provide cover for ladder access openings created in working platforms. The trapdoor is secured to the adjacent toe board and clipped into the vertical position when access is required.
Gate – 11.5kg
Trapdoor – 9.0kg

From spanners and ratchets to magnetic levels and measuring tapes, we stock a full choice of tools, belts and tool holders to compliment our comprehensive range of scaffolding products. Please call your local depot for more information.
A cost-effective method advertising, which can be prominently displayed on the scaffold structure. This is the simplest and most effective way to advertise, simply insert your sign and attach the board frame to your scaffold. Frames are available in two sizes: 20″x30″ and 24″x 36″.
The SCAFFTAG system is a means for recording and displaying pertinent information about your scaffold, including inspection frequency and its current use.
We can also provide the LADDERTAG system, safety signs to let people know that a scaffold is incomplete, or men are working overhead.

Protectors cover exposed ends of tubes and fitting threads, helping to increase awareness and avoid pedestrian injuries.
Steel bins are required to store, transport, and crane-lift scaffold fittings and small components.
Post pallets, sometimes known as stillages, are used to store, move or lift longer equipment.
Brick guards are mesh screens which are a safety measure that can be attached to the guardrails on the working lifts of a scaffold. They provide protection from falling materials passing through the guardrails and falling into areas below. Several types are available in either galvanised steel or lightweight plastic.
A solid steel plate used to cover small excavations, or uneven surfaces.
This system uses a proprietary step which is fixed to the main guardrail, to create a temporary platform approximately 1.0m above the working platform. These enable the scaffolder to erect the guardrail protection on the lift above in advance, or remove them during the dismantle process.
