TRADSTAIR is an independent access stair system designed to provide safe and efficient access to on-site work locations. The system is comprised of high quality manufactured prefabricated components and provides a flexible and versatile system which is designed for use as an independent tower, or for integration into other structures.
Utilising different sized stair flights, the TRADSTAIR has flexibility, allowing towers to follow progressive scaffolding / works, or to give full access where required.
The design makes the system extremely robust, with personnel loads exceeding those of alternative stair systems.
The TRADSTAIR’s design makes it faster and simpler to build than other stair systems.
All components are manufactured to our design from high quality galvanised steel, with the tower conforming to all current relevant British and European Standards. Through calculation and independent testing, the system has proved to meet or exceed all the required criteria to satisfy both BS EN 12810 and BS EN 12811.
TRADSTAIR is tested in line with the strict requirements of the ISO 9001 series of quality management systems, and the system has passed the rigorous NASC audit process and is fully compliant with their Code of Practice.
TRADSTAIR has a fully detailed erection guide including sections on component recognition, tying points, safe heights and safety notes.
These items form the vertical members of the scaffold and are made from 48.3mm diameter x 3.2mm thick high-grade steel tube. They incorporate the distinctive cluster of connection pockets which are welded at 500mm centres. The top pockets of lowest cluster are located at 385mm from the bottom of the standard, to the upper surfaces of the pockets. The pockets are the fixing points for the horizontal components of the system such as Ledger Beams Single Tube Ledgers and Purlin Rails.
At the top of the standards, there is a 170mm crimped spigot that allows the vertical connection of further standards and there are corresponding drilled holes, at the bottom and top of each standard, to allow two standards to be bolted together.
3.0m – 15.72kg
2.0m – 10.78kg
1.5m – 8.31kg
A combined jack and base plate designed for levelling the scaffold where the ground or foundation levels vary. These are adjusted by winding the collar up and down the threaded stem.
0.65m – 3.4kg
These provide a single guardrail function and are available in 3.05m, 2.16m and 1.65m sizes.
3.05m – 8.76kg
2.16m – 7.95kg
1.65m – 6.60kg
This component provides double guardrail function and is available in 3.05m, and 1.65m sizes.
3.05m – 12.96kg
1.65m – 8.74kg
he 3.05m ledger beam acts as the transom of the system at the platform / landing levels and provides support to the stage landings prior to the installation of the stair-flights.
The 1.65m length can be used as an alternative to the 1.65m single tube ledger and acts as a ledger of the system.
3.05m – 15.06kg
1.65m – 8.15kg
Provides initial step access to first level stage landing.
1.65m – 13.50kg
Used to form the landing platforms of the system, these components are laid directly onto the 3.0m ledger beams using the hooks provided.
Integral pockets provide connection points for stair-flights and handrail posts.
1.65m – 23.20kg
These steel units provide interconnecting stair access to each level, and come complete with hooks top and bottom, which connect to the corresponding pockets on the stage landings.
2.0m – 35.10kg
1.5m – 28.50kg
1.0m – 42.50kg
Provides internal double handrail for all stair flight sizes. These components are connected to the appropriate pockets on the handrail posts.
2.0m – 10.45kg
1.5m – 9.55kg
1.0m – 9.00kg
Fitted to the corresponding pockets in the stage landings to provide the connection points for stair handrails.
1.0m – 5.16kg
Fitted to a 3.05m ledger beam and connected to 2.16m purlin rails, to form guardrails when providing access or egress at the side of a tower.
1.0m – 6.60kg
This component provides double guardrail protection to the internal face of the stage landing, at the entrance of the stair tower.
8.71kg
This component provides double guardrail protection to the internal face of the stage landing, at the top of the stair tower.
6.95kg
To prevent injury to any person where there is a danger of falling materials or objects from a platform, these components must be fitted to the outside edge of the stage landings, to prevent such an occurrence.
End Toe Board – 7.00kg
Side Toe Board – 3.05kg
Top Toe Board – 3.05kg
This optional item allows a pair of operatives to erect the guardrails of the lift above, from the safety of the completed level below.
